Autumn at Tui Nature Reserve

We are in the middle of autumn and after quite a rainy period we have been enjoying a lovely calm week with beautiful weather.
With the knowledge that two new pups for the ‘conservation dogs’ programme will arrive in about a month, new kennels have to be build. A good time to put a corrugated roof on the enclosures and field office. The Kakariki numbers have grown to a total of twelve, with the addition of four young chicks, so we decided to transfer them to a larger aviary.
