Day trips for groups

Open Days and group visits are organised on a regular basis. If you and your group like to spend an enjoyable boat cruise in the Marlborough Sounds and visit our wildlife park, the Tui team is taking care of an entertaining day programme. 

The following is what you can expect on the day:

  • A hot drink with some home baked cake by our Eco accommodation and meanwhile enjoying the awesome views.
  • A closer look into our breeding efforts with species like Kakariki, Giant Weta, Common Gecko and Skinks.
  • A guided walk through parts of the reserve with potential for re-introduction of species like Robins.
  • A dog demonstration with certified predator detection dogs and handlers to monitor the reserve.

In short, an unique way to experience the Outer Pelorus in the Marlborough Sounds.

The cost for a group of 25 to 30 people is $ 90 per person
The cost for a group of 30 to 40 people is $ 80 per person

Some conditions apply: 

After arrival on the wharf a reasonable fitness level is required for the 40 minutes' walk uphill. There is transport available for limited numbers of visitors.

Morning tea is provided. Bring your own lunch.

Good walking shoes is advisable.

Not suitable for young children.

Tours need to be booked ahead and are depending on weather conditions.
Start is in Havelock Marina (Marlborough Sounds) at 8.00am, return time is approx 6.00pm.

Profits from this tour will be used for our conservation programmes.
